The “Call of the Wild” series provides viewers with a glimpse of Canada’s most ferocious predators at their most feral moment. Depicted on the front of the coin is a Canadian cougar, baring its teeth as it lets out a menacing growl. Further emphasizing the power of its intimidating growl are the stylized soundwaves that appear in the background behind the fierce feline. Its almost as though its cry has been artistically amplified. Also worth noting on the front of the coin is the maple leaf-shaped privy mark with the last two digits of the coin’s mintage year.
