The rounds are not like your typical silver round. These products have hand-stamped design elements on the primary face with rough, rustic edges.
The Skull and Crossbones design has its origins in the Late Middle Ages as a symbol of death. The Atlantis Mint uses the popular image on the vast majority of its in-house products, featuring at least one image of the symbol or using multiple stamps of it depending on the size of the silver bar in question.
On the obverse of the 1 oz Atlantis Skull and Crossbones Hand-Poured Round is the image of the skull and crossbones in the very center. This is a traditional version of the symbol that includes a human skull and two long bones that cross behind the jawbone of the skull. Inscriptions included with the stamp of the skull and crossbones are arranged in a circle around the symbol and read 999+ Fine Silver and 1 Troy Ounce.
The reverse side of the Atlantis Skull and Crossbones Hand-Poured Rounds is blank. The rounds have a flat reverse surface, while the obverse is slightly rounded near the edges as the hand-stamping process provided a certain flat element to the other side as well.
