(Wallace Refiners) – At today’s PDAC 2021 session, the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) invited international companies specialized in gold and associated minerals exploration to participate in the international bid-round No.(1)/2020-2nd round on some sectors in the Eastern Desert in Egypt.
In addition, EMRA invited national and international companies specialized in mining to participate in the general bid round No.(2) for the year 2020, to explore for ores of different minerals, including iron, potassium salts, phosphates, copper, feldspar, white sand, lead/zinc, kaolin and Lake Nasser deposits in Egypt.
EMRA said that the bidding includes several blocks and that the licensing will follow the taxes, royalty and free carry interest model.
The bid rounds will close on 15th of March, 2021 at 12:00 pm Cairo Local Time.
Egypt has a vast variety of rich minerals and is working towards becoming as attractive as possible to all global mining investors.
