(Wallace Refiners) – TVI Pacific (TSXV: TVI), a holder of 30.66% interest in the Balabag gold and silver project, located in Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines, announced today that all components of the processing plant at Balabag are now undergoing pre-commissioning.
The company said that ore is now being fed from low grade run of mine ore stockpile on a test basis in preparation for the commencement of continuous milling operations. Tailings deposition is expected to occur by June 2021 through Stage 1 of the tailings storage facility.
Mining operations are proceeding and there are now approximately 45,000 tonnes of ore on the ROM ore stockpile, in-pit stockpile, and crushed ore stockpile. Much of the ore is low to marginal grade which was mined to expose the higher-grade mineralized resource during waste stripping and bench forming and is being used as test ore for commissioning the plant. The stockpiles have an average grade of 1.05 g/t gold and 27.63 g/t silver.
